Links to UK Churches & Schools

UK Churches

We are a Christian based charity, with very strong links to churches in the UK and Zambia. Many of our supporters, and much of our funding, comes through this connection.

FPZ has been privileged to have the regular support of a wide range of churches.

In addition to relying on their ongoing prayerful support, UK churches have provided considerable financial donations, venues for fundraising activities and a range of items for the containers that have been shipped out to Kabwe.

Lunches organised by church groups provide regular donations

The donations we receive are regular, self effacing and so much appreciated - thank you all; you are too numerous, and modest, to mention.

If you would like to include us in your regular church giving in the UK , please contact us.

UK Schools

We work with many schools in the local area, and received donations from them as a result.

Some highlights from our time working with local schools:

  • Large donations of equipment and furniture that have been shipped to Kabwe

  • Hughenden Primary School pupils in Bucks sampled a Nshima meal with us.

  • Cottesloe School in Hertfordshire produced a collaborative book with us, see below for the link to it, -

raising funds and inspiring the young writers.

Learned Support - the donation of furniture and equipment

Over the past 8 years, we have been extremely grateful to a number of educational establishments for their generous donations of redundant classroom and office furniture, computer equipment and learning other resources. Particularly, Springfield School in Portsmouth, Portsmouth University, Wadebridge School in Cornwall, The Blandford School and Peter Symonds College in Winchester in 2017 and St Thomas Garnet had to close during Covid and yet was still able to donate.

The support of senior leaders is vital, The Blandford School exemplifies this point – under the leadership of Sally Wilson (Headteacher), we have received regular donations of computers with accompanying equipment, classroom tables and chairs, furniture and a wide range of learning resources. We have been privileged to ship out to Kabwe some very good quality items.

Through the Blandford Charity Ambassadors, a group of students in Yrs 12 and 13 (see Newsletter March 2022) – the school collected many pairs of shoes for our Shoe Appeal.

Thank you to all the schools involved. In summary, our school has received 450 classroom chairs, 120 classroom tables, 150 stools, and 80+ computers, plus so much more.
